Some guys want security and McCann gets security.  He could get seriously hurt and have his career prematurely end.  He&#039;ll be young enough to still make big bucks at the end of this deal if he wants.  

I have to admit this is the only thing I&#039;ve seen from the Braves that has excited me.  It&#039;s good to see the new owners agree to this, even if this deal does make good sense for the Braves.  I doubt AOL/TW would have allowed it.  While I would like to see Smoltz return, I have felt for a while that he is one arm injury away from his career being over and we have to be realistic and say that he probably doesn&#039;t have that much time left.  He&#039;s had serious injuries that both Maddux and Glavine escaped and I just have the feeling that Smoltz will see his career end because of injury.  If Smoltz goes elsewhere in 2008, it wouldn&#039;t surprise me at all if it ends up being his last season.  I&#039;d much rather see Andruw return as he still has plenty of seasons left in him.</description>
