Knitometrics

My sister, Elizabeth Hamilton, has started up a knitting wiki, WikiKnitting.com. She is an electrical engineer who has taken her hobby to a new level. I have suggested that she open up a store called Nerd Bags or Geek Totes. Once again, she ignored the advice from her older brother. I don’t know much about the yarn-related arts, but we own several of her projects, and she seems to be good at what she does.

Right now she is looking for other knitters to provide more content. If you knit, stop by. If not, pass the link along to a knitter that you know.

It’s knit very good.

Russ Francis Show

On Saturday (March 17), I’ll be on The Russ Francis Show in Boston, Massachusetts on 890-AM ESPN at 11am. There isn’t anything else going on in Boston on Saturday, is there? ;-)

Ducksnorts Baseball Annual

Though I follow all happenings in the major leagues, I really only follow my team, the Atlanta Braves, closely. When I buy the new annuals every year the first thing I do is turn to the section on the Braves. I read the articles, skim the capsules on other teams, and then use the books as references/paper-weights for the rest of the season.

I get the feeling the Geoff Young of Ducksnorts.com feels the same way towards his San Diego Padres, which lead him to publish the Ducksnorts 2007 Baseball Annual. It’s nearly 200 pages of material on the Padres, including a forward by Padres CEO Sandy Alderson.

I sure wish something like this existed for Braves fans. So, if you like the Padres, consider yourself lucky, and be sure to order a copy.

Brad Davis Morning Show

Tomorrow morning (Friday, March 16) I’ll be on The Brad Davis Morning Show on 1360 WDRC-AM in Hartford, Connecticut.
