I think this move shows the financial state of the Atlanta Braves and their concerns with Soriano accepting arb. Church shows much more patience at the plate than Francoeur ever has and is arguably a much better defender. He still hasn't returned to his pre-concussion form and may never do so, but I still think he's a great platoon option and 4th outfielder. Couldn’t agree with you more about the hometown boy.
